1994 chevy exhaust question

hi. i was just wondering if there is actually any harm that could be caused by true dual, straight piping my truck with the same dia. pipe that comes of manifolds its either 2 or 2.25 i would have to check. it has no cat no mufflers/glasspacks. what im wondering is if the exhaust could cause harm to the motor. thanks. my truck is a 1994 chevy k1500 ext cab short box 5.7l 350 4wd z71

Harm? Probably not but you'll probably hurt your low end torque. Straight exhaust work good at the drag strip but do nothing except pi$$ folks off with all the noise.:D

Please don't be one of those guys! I have a neighbor that runs that way and it sounds horrible. It sounds like he is doing 60 when he is coming down the street going 10 MPH. Ridiculous and your truck will be slower to boot.

the truck was like that when i bought it i was just wondering if any harm can be caused by it. i know that its loud but i kinda like it like that, but the cops in town kinda frown on it but no noise violations .........yet. i am looking into a cheap set of glasspacks though. thanks for the info

I had a glasspack on my 90 model5.7 and I loved it. Of course it was a SIDO setup.
