1994 Silverado Block Heater
Hello, I live in NE and just bought a 1994 Silverado. Since I already have 2 other vehicles that have to go in my garage, this truck will need to stay parked outside. I'm a little concerned about how it will handle the cold NE winters, so I'm thinking about installing a block heater to help out when the temps drop too low.
I've done a little research, but can't find any information on what type of block heater I would need or how to install it. Does anyone have any experience with that or know where I could go to look it up? Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. |
Something like this should do the trick
JEGS Performance Products 51121 JEGS Freeze Plug / Core Plug Block Heaters |
Those are the same style the factory installs if you order the block heater option. They heat the engine coolant and work great in the Canadian prairies.
