1995 305 questions

Default 1995 305 questions

ok i have two question about a 95 305, its in my gmc truck well first its a fresh rebuilt and has a new intake and a edlebrook 600 carb, 1st question are the valves adjustable and 2nd should the vacuum advance be hooked to the timed vacuum side of the carb or the full vacuum side? thanks for any info

The valves are adjustable yes and connect that vacuum line on the right / drivers side on the carb. The manual with the carb shows it going on the left but full vacuum is the right side.

MrDragon thanks for your input but i am still confused about the vacuum advance, one guy at work says the vacuum advance is suppose to go to the timed side of the carb and another guy says like you it goes to the full vacuum side , so i decided to call sullit racing tech support and i was told it goes on the timed side of the carb so i dont know what to do now

Give both a try and see which one works best. That's what I would do.

Edelbrock says go with full vacuum. Like Null said, try both. I have the same setup and run full vacuum. I will recommend double checking the mixture settings. Mine were wayyy off.
