1997 keeps blowing fuse
My 1977 K1500 keeps blowing the #9 fuse that operates the parking lights and the dash lights I have replaced the headlight switch and the plug that went to it for it was burned. Any body have any Ideas for I am at a loss

I'd hit the bone yard andand get a used plug and splice it in.

Already have replaced plug and it still blows the fuse

Have you changed any bulbs lately? Seen wires get pinched in the lens clips when put back together.

that was happening to me also and all i had to do was change the thing that does the brightness levels and havent blown a fuse since

No I haven't replaced the bulbs but I have checked the circuit board that they are plugged into

you obviously have a direct short to ground........check the turn signal switch and the brake light switch I found one on my 97 that the wire had burned completly off the turn signal switch.....Ive got a schematic if you need more info let me know

I could use a wiring schematic and I will check the turn signal switch and brake light switchthis thing is driving me nuts

Have checked turn signal and brake switch no burnt wires but I am still blowing fuses
