1999 Silverado 4.3l questions, please help

I have a few questions maybe you can help me with about a 1999 Silverado 2wd 4.3l auto.

The truck im looking at has 180+K miles on it, what are the most common issues with this truck ?

Ive heard the 4l60e has a short life span is this true in the real world ? what kind of life can i expect with proper maintence ? I dont know if the tranny has been replaced/rebuilt or not.

What is the approx. street value of this truck it is in fair condition, decent paint, few small dents , inside bed scratched and small dents. needs tires, has manual windows & no radio (was removed) but not that big of a deal i can get another readio for less than $100 bucks.

I can tell you that I can find that truck on Craigslist locally in Indiana for 800-1400, so I'm not sure what price range you're in. In regards to the mileage, it really depends on the maintenance and how it was driven...
