2-4 drop on a 04 silverado ext. cab
i just put a 2-4 drop kit on my truck which consisted of springs in the front and angers and shackles for the rear, but for some reason it doesnt look like it was lowered enough. can somebody tell me how much ground clearance i should have from the center of the truck or at least the front bumper?
No a 2-4 drop wont give much a look to a drop. 3-5 or a 4-6 would have been what you may have been lookin for.
I started with a 2/3 on my truck, its not that noticeable of a drop. I'm at 4/4 right now.
the only tthing i really noticed was that it leveled my truck which is one thing i was trying to do, but i think if i go more than 4 in. then i have to notch the fram in the back is this so?
You dont have too. I didnt do mine that way. I dropped mine 1 in the front and 4 in the back. I also put air shocks in the rear in case I haul some stuff. With it like that I have about 5 inches between the bump stops and the axle.
so then ur truck is sitting lower in the rear then
Oh yeah. It looks more level and low, not slammed. I did it for performance.
ya i just looked at mine and i would have to notch my fram cuz i had to cut the bumpstop down to with in an inch of the frame
Thats what I did too. Advance Auto has some really small bump stops to replace the factory ones for cheap. Every once in a while I will hit the axle but its not real bad.
