2000 Chevy silverado 1500 Grille
 

Hey guys, i need some help with my grille. i bought this truck used and it didnt have a bottom grille insert, no problem i thought and bought a set off ebay. turns out these bolt over the old inserts! how am i suppose to use them if i dont have an old insert to bolt over. so i need to buy the right ones this time. ive done some more research but i think this grille may have been modified before. who knows. i haves some pics i can show you so someone could hopefully point me in the right direction to buy some new inserts for my grille.

this pic shows the bottom spot where the insert should be. i dont have this insert i only have the top one. the bracket shown i guess is suppose to hold it on

this is the bracket that is on the insert i do have. is this an aftermarket insert? its made of aluminum. ive seen stock ones made of plastic?

so im just asking to see what someone knows and what i can buy that will work on my truck. i dont really care what it looks like i just need something to fix this because it looks dumb without the insert in the grille. thank you!

Looks like it had an after market grill innstalled at 1 time.

yea ive realized that and ive ordered new ones that i know will work.
