Default Turn signals work intermittently

I have a 2006 Sierra 2500HD. The turn signals recently started working sporadically. When you signal for a turn, they work, until you step on the brake - then they quit blinking. This does not happen all the time - only sporadically. I have tried to pinpoint outdoor temps, truck temps, etc., but there is no rhyme or reason as to what is happening. Then, last week I'm heading down the highway with cruise on - when I signaled to switch lanes, the cruise came off! Anyone else experiencing these issues??
Thanks!!
Jill

sounds like a crossed wire to me. Intermittent turn signals are caused by 2 issues, loose plugs along the steerign column (which is where I would start looking seeing as your cruise control stopped working) or a bad turn signal relay. I am leaning more towards a loose connection on your steering column harness. Start there and let me know what you find.

Thank you. I will check it out...AFTER it warms up a bit! It is now 11 degrees and feels like 3 outside! I will let you know what I find.
