2000 Silverado Rear End problem
I got into my rear end to change out a leaky axle seal and found that 7 teeth are stuck to the magnet. The Ring gear and pinion are fine, it seems to be the spider gears. The GM replacment stuff is quiet expensive 200-300 for replacement parts. I need some options for a quick, reliable, affordable fix. Any suggestions?
Oh, Its a NON-limited slip. Im thinking of the auburn lifted-slip which is 350 or so. This way I get a stronger, cheaper then stock stuff + lifted slip. Any advice is appricated! Thanks, |
RE: 2000 Silverado Rear End problem
I am not sure you are aware of the TSBs out for the Driveshaft TSBs that lead to RearEnd Detonation on all Silverado's from 99-04. Take the time to look them up as GM will replace AFTER warranty has expired.
