2001 GMC Sierra 2500 - Electrical ??

Ok, so I recently purchased a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500. It didn't come with an owners manual, so my first question would be. Does anyone know of a reputable place to buy or download one? Thanks..

My second Question is electrical. I started the truck this morning and there was no problem, I drove about 4 miles to work, got out of the car for a minute or two.. No More than five.. Left no lights on, when I got back to my truck I had No Power from the battery. A co-worker Jumped it, I got it started drove all the way home.. However the gauges were going Nuts.. All warning lights flashed on and off.. the Speedometer would start to work, then jump back down to Zero.. Then when I got the car home I let it idle for a while but now it won't start.. I am assuming alternator, but what was with the Guages??

Thanks a Million, I appreciate any advice!!

Welcome! Probably just your alternator. I would replace it and your guages should be ok. Remember they're electrical and if you don't have 12 volts or close, things will start acting funny. Also have your battery checked (any auto parts store should do that for free). As far as a manual I would pick up a repair manual at your local auto parts store. If you want an owners manual you can usually find them on eBay.
