RE: 2001 Silverado jack
that's what i was wondering... my light is a step back from the light off of older trucks... i thought the point of a new generation of trucks was to improve... oh well, small detail i guess, but still

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
yea you would think it would have been an improvement later on, but what is the setup for lights on yours?
|
RE: 2001 Silverado jack
well, mine actually works only when you "jiggle" the hood, but its one stationary light with a dull-a$$ bulb in it, located at the bottom of the hood (near the base of the windshield) off centered to the driver side... it basically illuminates my electrical center and brake master cylinder and nothing else

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
I'm 42 ...had a 59 Ford p/u...I've not seen a jack worth a **** yet on a car
|
RE: 2001 Silverado jack
i found those axle jacks they kept underhood in the 70s to handle a good load and fairly easy and quick to use.
|
RE: 2001 Silverado jack
I'm going to try to rig a light up under my hood soon ...using one of those old hanging lights stinks.

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
jacks are overrated. i threw mine out so i could have a big ass sub box under my back seat. i havent had a flat tire yet but if i did i have a cell phone...

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
hahaahahahahaha....wow

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
2oo2sierra makes a good point, today, all you have to do is pick up the cell phone and call your local highway assistance crew to come help... in tennessee they fix you up for free

RE: 2001 Silverado jack
I've always carried a jack ...but one time I did take it out, I forgot to put it back ...what happened? Yep ...flat tire.
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any. :( |
