2002 Chevy w/ 6.0: Starting issues
Hey guys, recently I bought a 2002 Chevy 1500HD with a 6.0.
It has 161k miles, and I got it at a smoking deal.
Upon starting, to get it to start, you must crank it (it attempts to start, then you can hear it starting to die off slowly) then you have to turn it off then back on again. Sometimes twice.
I have been reading around I have not been able to find ANYTHING. Can anyone help me out?

By starting to die off do you mean the engine is turning over slower and slower? If so it sound like your battery is too weak. Try jumping it with a good battery. The last new Red Top battery I put in my 2004 Z71 had a bad cell which made for a long cranking period before starting, I took it back for another new one and solved the problem.
