Default 2003 Sierra Z71 Leveling....Keys?

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 2003 Sierra Z71. I want to raise the front end up. I have heard that you can replace the front keys with a kit that will raise the front end 2" to 3".

I don't know the details of how to do this. Do I need certain Keys? Do I need to adjust or replace anything else other than the keys? And if it's too much to ask, about how much would all this cost?

Those are the questions. Any comments or advice would be awesome.

Thanks,
Spur

you can replace them with 97-03 Ford F150 keys to tighten them over what the stock keys can handle.

But, in turn that will wear out your joints and axles a bit quicker.

I tightened my stock keys about 1" and Im happy with it.
Allowed me to fit a 285.

Pick up a Rough Country, Skyjacker or Ready Lift front leveling kit. Do it right for less than $200. Your ride quality wont suffer.

I agree with Never Enough. I put a 2" leveling kit on mine and only paid $150 which included installation.

go to your nearest ford dealership buy ford torsion keys just instaling them not even cranking them up should give you 2 inches atlest we put hem on my brother in laws and he got about 4 inches cranked all the way up ive heard of people getting 5 inches from them it just depends on how high you want to go and how often you feel like replacing ball joints
