2003 Silverado Fan Problrm

My heater fan only works on speed 3 and up. It will not work on lower speed. Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks,
Tom

I had a problem similar to this on my 95 Z ended up replacing the fan motor and something else. I cant remember what it was called and it was hard to get to. It had something to do with temprature sensing and it was under the dasn near the fan mounted in the "duct work" of the a/c/heater.

its the a/c resistor MOST LIKELY....but could be the switch...

if the resistor plug is melted, you'll need a resistor and a connector

on the right floorboard....loadred trucks have a panel that hides the a/c box...cheaper truicks do not..

look uynder there...you'll see the round fan motor...left of that is the resistor, with a big plug with about 7 colored wires....unplug that and see if the end is melted
