2003 Silverado Oxygen Sensor
I have replaced the Bank 1 front sensor(twice), had the code cleared and it has re-appeared. The engine is running a little rougher and it dosen't seem to want to start like it used to. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Pay a few bucks and get a mechanic to hook up a scanner to pin point the problem.

Check the wiring harness for the sensor!!!!!!!!!!!! O2 sensor harnesses are known to get burnt by the exhaust. The connector is also suspect.

2003 Silverado Oxygen Sensor
Chris, that is where I was going to go next since the "code" keeps coming back with new sensors. Is the harness a mechanics job or just someone with some sense and some tools. My next step tomorrow is to clean the contact points between the harness and the sensor.

common sense will get you along way............there should be 2 grounds(black) and 2 signal wires(white) one of the white ones will have a 5v reference signal and the other should either increase in voltage or decrease in voltage (its been awhile) as the sensor warms up.......ohm check the white wires with a DVOM to ground to make sure you done have a short.......burnt harnesses are easy to see and should reveal them selves with a little looking.......
