Hi, I'm new here and I have a question. I have an 03 Silverado and am wanting to put 17" wheels on it with 265/70/17 Dayton Timberline MTs. Will these fit with no problems or will I have to cut plastic and such? I know the new Silverados have 17 inch rims stock, but I'm not sure whether the 2003s have enough clearance.

 

i gotta similar question...i just got a 2004 Z71 and i want to put 285s BFG ATs on it. Is that the best way to go? also whats the deal with crankin it up a little? will i sacrifice alot of ride? Thanks guys

 

I have a 2003 Silverado Ext. Cab. At the moment, i have 285's and i get a little bit of rubbing, not anything to be concerned about, but i only really experience it when i am backing up and in a hard turn. i think you should be ok with whichever tire size you use. good luck.
