2005 Sierra 1500 6" lift 35in tires.. Legal in MD?
I am thinking about lifting a 1500 ext cab 6" and putting 35" terra grapplers or discoverer stt's on it with 18" rims. Anyone who has done something similar -- Does this put you over 28" from the bumper to the ground? If so how much? I'm in MD and the law here is 28 inches so.. trying to stay within a few inches of being legal.. haha

Is it 28" to the bottom of bummer or what? Im in IL and we have a 32" bummer max from the ground up. Mu friend has a f250 with 39'' tires with a 9'' lift and hes perfectly legal. Check ask a around to a shop that does suspensions. if they say your good, your good then. they do them alot im sure and would know the law..

yes, here in MD, its 28" from the bottom of the bumper to the ground. Yea, i was definately going to ask around but wanted to get some opinions on here first. I was either going to go with the 4" lift 33" tires or 6" lift 35" tires if i could get away with them. Your friend has a big ass truck. lol

For anyone else who might be interested or curious about this, especially if a Maryland resident. I talked with a guy who has a 2500 ext cab gmc lifted 6in with 35in tires, and got him to measure from the bottom of his bumper to the ground and it was exactly 28". So, in conclusion this is the highest legal lift and tire size combination in MD. Thanks to the help.
