Default 2006 Problems

Hey all,

I just became a member. I keep hearing great things about different forums and the help the members oftentimes offer. With that said, I have a question regarding my 2006 Silverado. Sometimes in drive and sometimes in reverse when I crank the wheel (at low speeds and in either direction), I feel something as if my truck is skipping (like hitting a patch of ice when there's no ice). Every dealership I've taken it to has no clue what it is and can't find anything wrong with it. I barely have 10,000 miles on the truck. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

It doesn't have a locker does it? Is it maybe stuck in 4wd? or Auto4wd?

Does it have locking differential? Sounds like a problem with the clutches.

Thanks for the help guys...I don't like to mess around too much with stuff like that, so I will have the dealership (or maybe someplace more trustworthy) take a look at it.

try backing up about 50 feet to see if it releases, and try cycling through your 4wd options to see if it disenguages.
