Hello all I am brand new to trucks for the most part I owned a Mazda B3000 about 10 years ago for a couple months and that is the extent of my truck knowledge. I have been reviewing the Toyota Tacoma and heard its bullet proof and will easily go 200k+ in miles if maintained. However I have been unable to find one in my price range for months and I was pointed to a GMC canyon as a alternative to a solid and reliable truck. It is a 2007 with 80k miles (1 owner) for around 11 grand. Visually it looks pleasing and clean I am just concerned about the inner workings of the vehicle...it is a 3.7L 5cyl engine which I have personally never even heard of....Anyone own this truck or one similar that can give me an idea what I may be getting? is there any major issues with a 5cyl truck...is GMC canyon a truck that with regular oil changes etc last me 200k+ miles...do you like the truck do you have regrets or would you have done anything different. Thanks any info be appreciated.
