2007 silverado 4 wheel drive service light
 

Does anyone know how to fix or check the 4x4 system when the service light comes on? It seems to do this when things get wet from slush and snow.

I have the same problem. Ever since I went though a Biiiigggg puddle. I'm thinking short or some connection under the truck. I'll check when the weather gets better.

I've heard this from a few members. It turns out some of them cured the problem from replacing the switch on the dash to replacing the actuator on the transfer case.

I had a similar problem, but for me it was a bad transfer case code sensor.

I would start out by going to autozone and getting the codes read to hopefully narrow it down.
