2007 Silverado Active Fuel Management Question
Just bought a new Chevy 1500 2wd, 5.3 V8 with Active Fuel Management. I have tried to lisen or "feal" the switch between 8 and 4, however I have not been able to. Is it that smooth? I took it for a ride today where I was on a steedy decline for over a mile. Cruise was on 55 and the engine was working very little. So I thought that is when it should kick in. Maybe I am just not hearing or fealing it. My truck is crew cab work truck so it doesnt have all the fancy features with buttons and driver displays, however is there a light or message on the dash indicating V4 mode? Thanks for any input.

I guess it would feel the same as driving our trucks (stock)?

RE: 2007 Silverado Active Fuel Management Question
In all of the trucks I've driven in w/ this feature, I couldn't tell the difference ...the only difference that I could see was how much they spent on gas per month and how much I spent.... it was enough to make me cry.
