2010 Silverado 5.3 Programmer

I'm looking to put a programmer/tuner https://mechanicfaq.com/programmer-for-gmc-sierra-1500/ on my 2010 Sierra Crew Cab. It's got the 5.3 V8 and it's 4WD. Trying increase my MPG, but also be able to change the tune for when my family and I go camping. Everywhere I look I'm getting mixed reviews on which are better. So, any and all advice is appreciated. And thank you in advance for the help!
