Of course this was first snow. I am getting a service 4wd message, and it appears the truck is stuck in 4wd auto. This would have been the default position for me, but I do change to 2wd and 4wd on occasion. The truck seems to drive fine, and I believe it is in 4wd auto based on how it drives. Orange light stays on 4wd Auto. The indicator light moves with the dial but stays solid white, doesn't blink like it is trying to shift. In the Common issues thread the shift ****(dial) can go bad. Seems like that might be it. I will be checking the ground under drivers door and getting mechanic to read the code, just wanted to see if there is anything else simple to check. Truck has 147k.
