So, I'm fairly positive that I need to do a drivers front wheel bearing on my truck... I'll know more next week after I drive the 900 miles to Minneapolis and back.

Dealer: $690
Midas: $650

Part cost: $500

Anyone know anything about this brand? How many hours "should" a shop charge to install this?

Alldata shows 1.1 hours of labor for the bearing, and shows OEM price of the wheel bearing to be $496.94. I don't know how accurate that is, but 1.1 sounds a little low to me. It's possible that it doesn't account for diagnostic labor, so I would be okay with anywhere between 1.0 labor hours to 1.7 labor hours depending on how the shop works.

Timken bearings are top notch, I wouldn't have any problems putting one on my truck

 

Well I have yet to replace it because the sound hasn't gotten any "worse" persay.

When it went on the cruze and my old Honda I had about 500 miles before it was unbearably loud. This one is at 2500 since I noticed it and seems to be just fine.

Weird note, I have noticed that my fuel economy has downticked about 5-15% since this started
