Hello All,
New guy here. I just picked up my new 2008Silverado yesterday. It came with 265s on the stock 17"aluminum wheels. I'm looking to put 285s on the stock wheels and want to hear from someone who has put them on a 2008. I traded in my 2001 2500 HDto buy this one. I was able to run 285s on that truckwith no problems and am hoping to do the same with this truck.

Not sure about the 2008 but on the 2005 the stock 265 can be replaced with stock 285 so you should be fine.

 

like hunt said i dont know about 08s particularly but pretty much every z71 and particularly hd's can clear 285 with no problems
