2wd mudding??? advice please!
ok, i drive a 1990 Chevy C1500 5 speed manual tranny, with 33x12.5" tires all around. do ya'll have any advice on mudding with this? i'm used to 4wd but when i bought this truck, i didn't have the money for a 4wd and needed a vehicle asap. well i've grown very found of it and i want to mud in it, but i'm not very sure about how to go around it because that only other truck i've gone mudding in was my 1978 K5 Blazer, 6'' suspension lift, 350, the works. any advice????

I used to play in the mud every weekend with my ATV and there was a lot of trucks out there. Unfortunately the 2WD's did not do very well and were constantly being pulled out. There was a younger kid that was out there all the time and was stuck more than he wasn't. To teach him a lesson (after many warnings) we just left him stuck one day and he had to call a tow truck to get him out. You can do some off roading but I would keep it in the dirt and sand not the sticky stuff. If you just have to - get a big winch that can be switched from front to rear and have plenty of straps. Good tires makes a difference to, but in your case just in the rear. The fronts you want to just float so maybe do some research on some front tires that wont dig in too much (if that is possible) - Good Luck and have fun!

get a locker in the rear if you dont already have one. open differential on a two wheel drive in the mud = one wheel pulling.
