How many of you have done a body lift youselves? Is it an easy thing for a beginner to do? I thought about trying it myself, but I'm not sure if the garage here has al te right tools for me to use. If not, how much does a shop usually charge to do one for you? Thanks.

 

First thing is make sure the garage door is tall enough for the truck to get out when youre done.

i haven't personally done one but i dont think it's too hard if you have a couple buddies and follow the instructions

 

I raised a guy's garage about 3 foot so he could fit his truck in it he had a real nice Dodge.

 

I just installed one a few weeks ago and it was really easy now mine is an 05 and i did not have to jack with the fans so it went easy.

 

Body lift I have been told is quite easy if you have the right tools.

I stood idly by as three of my friends attempted to install an 8" Fabtech suspension lifton a F350... Needless to say it didn't go quite as planned, and ended up being one of those 'load onto a flatbed and take to Les Schwab for them to finish' kind of things. Nothing went right during that afternoon. A lot of 'unforseen' challenges.
