Hi Guys, i just bought a 2000 silverado 4x4, 5.3. What a great truck compared to my'96 Ford!. Power, handling and gas millage! I wish that i had bought a chevy sooner!. The problem that i have is the third door handle broke the first time that i tried to open it when i got the truck home. How hard is it to replace? any special tools needed? Thanks and i appreciateany help

Mine is broke also I just use the inside one. But it shouldn't be to hard. You will more than likely need a torx head not sure what size.

 

Go on ebay and buy a new handle, I got an aluminum one for $10 a few years back, otherwise I broke three plastic ones in one year. They are easy to change if you have torx sockets.
