4.10 with 31" tires...

i installed 4.10 ratios cause i thought i was getting 33" tires.. but finally i got a good deal with wranglers MT/R 31" tires.. most people have told me, 4.10 are not gonna work for me.. what do you guys think? should i go with bigger tires? or what should i do? thanks

i dont see why the 4.10s wouldnt work...I mean its probably a little over kill for 31s but by no means can you not run 31 inch tires with 4.10 gears...think of it this way, you will be able to spin the tires really well.

When you get 4:10 from the factory the trucks come with 31 inch tires. 33 would just get alittle better gas mileage so you should be fine.

As hunt said, you will be fine, just decreased milage by 2 mpg or so, but it will be fast out of the hole, and tow really well. You are gonna lose some top speed though, in 3rd you will top out at 123 as opposed to 148 with 3.42, but overdrive has enough to get you to 176. As ifyou are ever going to go that fast.
