how hard would it be to drop a 406 in my 95 that has a 5.7l tbi in it now, would it just be easier to switch to a carbed engine or stay with fi

I was talking to a guy at work today and i figure i will just go with a turbochaged rebuild 350, the guy at work said it would be cheaper an easier to switch to a carb. is this true?
