I don't have the 65e anymore...I burnt the clutches (the best ones available) up three times in a period of the last two months. Now I have a Turbo400. Should hold up a whole lot better.

TransGo makes the kit you need for the truck. I would recommend two companies: Oregon Performance Transmission or PATC. They both know their stuff. OPT has great prices and ships quick - they're always my first stop.

A deeper pan should lower temps about 30 degrees. A cooler another 30 or so. I would get a cooler if I were you. The 60e's suck. The cooler you can get it the better.

Just clicked an order from Oregon, for Transgo kit, corvette servo, new plate, and a hughes deep alu. pan/filter/gasket.

Should be good to go for awhile (noforced inductionhere, haha, just bolt-ons).
Now, just to decide which fluid to run.

What is the capacity of the 4l60e? Anyone know off-hand?

I would stick with regular fluid. That's advice coming from some pretty well known builders.

I would have about 12 quarts on hand...that will be a little more than you need and you can just return what you don't use. Sucks being a quart low and having to go back to get more...

And seriously...you should add a cooler, no matter what performance stuff you have done. $50 might get you some extra months/years out of it.
