4x4 light on my 00 Silverado
 

Every once in a while, when i drive my truck, my service 4x4 light comes on. Any ideas?

Dose it stay on if so then see what code its sending.

Usually it turns out to be the selector switch on the dash.

I get the same light on my truck too, and it will come on sometimes when i use 4x4 and not others. I changed my transfer case fluid with some special GM stuff so im hoping that its all set

Selector switch or 4wd actuator motor. Mine was the motor. I think it was $120 but that was dealer price.
