My friend has a 2002 Chevy Avalanche 4x4 2500 with a 8.1 in it. We are looking for an exhaust sysytem to improve hisMPG and performance. Any suggestions... a cat back system orjust go to a good muffler shop? And we are also lookinginto a cold air kit, red neckram air setup or just a K&N. Any suggestions on these 2 popular questions or any other suggestions for other performance parts?

 

Becouse it is a rare motor to be in that vehicle, you may have to go to a good muffler shop to get the exhuast done. As far as the intake goes, it should be the same as most other trucks with that motor in it. You should be able to find an CAI for it. Good luck with that one! Also hope he plans on getting new tires a lot when he gets done with the mods. It's good to hear that there is a big block in that Avalanch.

 

Yeah I am glad there is a big block in it also... too bad he drives it like a 4 banger. He is afraid of the gas usage. That is why we are looking into the mods. I will keep everyone informed as we go along.

 

one of my buddy's has that same thing and that thing really pulls. you don't see to many of them around. i think i have seen one other one. keep us updated.
