Hey there guys, i hope you can help me out with this.

i recently purchased a 85 C10 from my girlfriends father and he had converted it from manual to automatic. the thing that kinda bothers me is that it can from Park to 1 (P-R-N-D-2-1) just with the pull of the shifter. not much effort is needed. i dont wanna be going down the road and slip into reverse or something while going 30 mph...not fun.....my question is that is there a part or cable i can hook up to the brake or "dead" clutch petal enableing a lock on the tranny so it wont switch gears. just like a normal automatic car.

i dont think this is possible on a 85. the older models didnt have this option. you couldnt even get them with the option of brake before shifting until 95 so i dont think youll find something. that will lock the tranny in every gear unless you went about with a floor shift with lockouts.
