i just picked up a 85 C10 that originally had a 305 in it but still has the original transmission (as far as i know), but im not sure what tranny it is. it is a 3-speed auto, but i dont beleive its a TH350 because i cant find anything that those were in after 1981. Could it be a TH400? any info asap will help, i have a bad pan that needs to be replaced but not sure what tranny is in the truck

 

there are several options in that year....700r4, 3l80, 4l60e, th400, th350...just to name a few....my guess is a th350 or 3l80..........got any pics of the pan that would help alot

 

i did some research and i beleive its a TH350. the pan is pretty much square except for the right rear side of the tranny pan is cut at an angle

 

yep sounds like a turbo 350 to me....there is ALOT you can do with that tranny
