85 Custom Deluxe Steering Column Issue
 

hey there, I have an 85 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe and the steering wheel is way to close to me. I am a big ole boy and the column just seems way too long even if I was smaller. I installed a smaller steering wheel but really need more room. My friends suggest a tilt steering but will that just make it flip up and down or is the column itself a little shorter. Any suggestions??

Tilt w/ a smaller steering wheel would help, beyond that maybe look into a different seat.
