92 headlights won't work..

92 headlights won't work..

The headlights on my 1992 chevy k1500 quit working, before they quit working a little bit of smoke was coming out of the switch.....anyone?

I'd say that you need a new switch. It's very easy to change. Just pop the cover off that houses the switch, unplug the old one, and install the new one. This is an OEM item that you will have to get from GM.
