92 Silverado light brake pedal

Ok, In December I bought a 92 Silverado to replace my V8 S10. When I got it I felt it had a light brake pedal. What I mean is that when you first press it the pedal goes down a bit, like halfway, before you get any pedal. Once it gets firm it stops the truck just fine. The brakes are good, just replaced the drum brakes today, I also checked out the front brakes and they looked great I would say about 70% left. There are no leaks in the system and the brake fluid does not change. When I purchased the truck the seller told me that the power brake booster was replaced by the previous owner I do not believe the master cylinder was. What I would like to know is any explanations of why the pedal would be so light. My uncle has a 1990 Silverado and the brake pedal on that is awesome. As soon as you press it, it is firm and solid. I would like my truck to be like this also. I do not think that it would fail in an emergency but I would rather have it right than chance it. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Josh-(d0dgesst@aol.com)

The ABS valve might be bad. I know my 1990 model had a bad valve for the ABS and they were notorious for going bad. Does your 92 have hte same valve under the master cylinder as your uncles?
