94 Sierra Ignition Actuator
Greetings,
I joined this forum looking for some help getting my truck back together. I've been pulling wrenches for the better part of 50 years but this one really has me stumped.
I'm trying to get the little rack and pinion on the ignition switch actuator re-aligned.
94 GMC Sierra
4.3 / auto
Non-Tilt column
I replaced the wiper switch and in so doing, removed the top of the column (ignition switch housing?), ignition switch, etc. Now, I've got everything sliding back into place but can't get the rack and pinion realigned. Close, but a tooth or two off ... or just not at all!
There has to be a procedure to rotate the gear to a certain position and then slide the housing assembly down or some such thing. I'd appreciate any help, links to videos or whatever anyone can dp.
Thanks!
