95 sierra leaking fuel....

hi everyone, my sierra is leaking fuel from the hoses coming off of the sending unit, is it possible to cut the lines and replace with regular rubber rated for 50psi, or is that too low? also, can you buy the lines pre-made from the dealer? thanks all.

Coming out of the gas tank?

no, it is coming out of the factory made rubber lines off of the sending unit. the fuel pressure is fairly low(9-13psi) so i am thinking of cutting the line, insert steel tubing, and reattaching to the rubber line going to the fuel filter. other than changing the sending unit/getting the factory lines, can anyone see any other solutions?

hey,
The cheapest and easiest solution is what you just said.. to cut the line and insert a steel tube. I know it works good cause thats what i did to mine for all the lines coming out of the assending unit.

If you want it to look nice, just replace the whole factory rubber fuel line with efi rated fuel line from the steel fuel line from the fuel filter to the assending unit. If i had to guess, the factory line is going to be expensive.

Hope this helps.
