98 Silverado Split Bench Seat
 

The latch on the bench armrest is broken. I have tried numerous ways to jimmy it open, but as of yet have failed. Any suggestions, Please?

Sorry..if its stuck,its stuck....I;'ve had to shatter trhem to get em open

I finally got the fold down compartment open by removing the hinge spring, twisting the lid to break the latch. It now has no spring loaded lid, or locking latch, but I can use the compartment.

Yeah,they suck when they get stuck...it has a "safety latch"...designed not to fly open in a wreck and kill you with flying cd's and **** spilling out of it.
The bad side is,they do get stuck,just like a seat belt
