99 auto4X4 ?
 

A taste of winter in MN its snowing, had to do some fishtails. When engaging the 4X4 the service 4X4 lights comes on and won't disengage, GM had a recall on a switch that was changed 6-7 years ago, Is that whet needs to be replaced, Thanks, have a fun winter,

it could be the push button but i replaced it on mine and it worked fine. about 2 years later the transfer case shift motor went out which actually engages and disengages the 4wd at the transfer case. that is bad now. to make it go off, i just pulled out the aux 20 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

When I restarted the motor, pushed the 2WD button, its in 2 wheel now, I will check the switch too, Thanks chevman92
