I am replacing the parking brake shoes for my 99 (new style) GMC Z71. Bought shoes from O'Reilly parts and found there are 2 different style shoe retainers included for each shoe. Can't find anyone who knows why this isor which typeto use. Don't give me choices when I am laying on a tire with a rotor in my lap. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

 

The one gm gives you has 2 batwings on it....holds the shoe in place better

be sure to adjust the hoop pretty snug for the e-brake to hold well
