My 96 silverado will start up fine but will stall as soon as it starts. The next time i turn the key it starts and im on my way, But recently it will run run for about 10 to 20 seconds and then stall. When i do get it to run long enough to drive it will shut off on me as im going down the road. Ive already changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump and im sure you know how fun that is. My check engine light is on so im thinking its a sensor. If it is a sensor which one could it be or if it isnt a sensor were am i going wrong about fixing it? please help im pretty close to losing sleep over this.

 

Go to Autozone and tell them you want a scan for codes. The will hook up a scanner and get your codes and print them out for you. It will tell you what sensors are faulty. Its free.
