I read all posts regarding wiper problems, but could not find the answer to my particular situation...

I have a 2006 1500 w/ 57k miles. When operating the wipers on intermittent speed, they work temporarily then eventually come to a stop at the top of the sweep. The only way to make them work again is put it on the highest speed. If put back on intermittent, they will work a couple swipes then stop again. Not sure why they would work on highest speed, but not on intermittent speed. Any ideas?

is this the same problem as the other posts where the soldering needs to be redone? or would the cover need to be replaced? any idea where exactly the box is located? i saw something about 4x5", pretty thin, on the firewall near the driver's side, but thought the module would be more towards the center where the motor is...
