AC condensation leaking inside
2004 5.3 I was driving with my AC on today (outside temp was 95) and noticed the driver side floor mat had alot of water on it. I could actually see the water trickeling out from under the center console. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks in advance

i have never had that problem with my 1994 chevy k1500 z71 but i have heard if you have condensation coming into cab check drain tube that comes out of the firewall under the hood below where your ac lines go into cab to see if it is plugged. on my truck the drain hose is on pass side

The same thing happened to me! In my case I opened the co-drivers air flowter because my girlfriend was cold and had closed it and no more leaking!! It happens because the cool air presses the allready cool air that can't get out of the flowter and liquids it! simple as that..

could be a stopped up drain tube, or a cracked case (the black plastic cover under the dash)

thanks for the info.
thanks for the info. how do you remove the center console without destroying it? I guess I'll start with the screws under the console hatch. any info would be helpfull. thanks in advance MIKE

wish i could tell you man but i wrecked the only one i tried to pull out.

Take your time and it will come out. be sure to remove all your screws... I bet it is a stopped up tube.

ok I just removed about 30 screws starting with the console compartment and going forward. I was able to get pretty far untill I tried to remove the side decorative plastics (they run the length of the console) and noticed 2 screws at the top of the console (above the cig lighter) that must be removed which I cant get to unless i remove parts of the dash. I could use some advise on removal in parts or maybe I can pull the seats and try to take the console out whole. Thanks in advance Mike

just looked at removing the seats and there are some sort of star head or temper proof bolts. do I have to remove the seats? and if so where can I get the socket? thanks
