I am interested in a new 1500 but a local dealer told me I cannot get one without Active Fuel Management. I don't want it, I think it will cost more in maintenance than it will save in gas. Are there any options? Maybe a GMC Denali? Thanks.

I know I know you guys heard enough about this BUT.....

Diablosport makes both the Predator and the Trinity that can turn the Active Fuel Management off. From what I understand, this does not have a dramatic effect on mpg. From what I have read you may not even loose any mpg as the performance tune will counteract the loss of mpg from tunring the AFM off.

 

I have a 2008 silverado 1500 4wd and I feel and hear nothing that would hint it has AFM.

 

I have A 2007 silverado with AFM. I put an Exhuast on my truck and took it offthe next week because when you drive on the freeway and it shuts off the four cylinders it sounds really bad
