Default Age Vs. Mileage on Used Truck

Which is better, an older truck with fewer miles, or a newer truck with high miles? I saw a 02 with 75k miles and an 07 with 129k miles for about the same price. Which would be the better buy?

I will be driving very few miles per year, towing, and need something to last for a while. Thanks!

I think it depends on how hard those miles were. If the 02 has towed a monster trailer for 75K and the 07 was just a pleasure truck than - well you see where I am going. Personally miles don't bother me as much as the condition and how it feels when I test drive it. A well taken care of truck should be very evident with a careful inspection. If they are in the exact same condition than I think I would go for the 07 - figuring 2 similar equipped trucks.

I'd go for the '07.

Also, is there a possibility to garage keep this truck when it's not being used? I'm thinking an almost new truck every time you pull it out

No, unfortunately the truck has to sit out. My garage is just barely big enough for a compact car.

Luckily I don't live in Chicago anymore, so hopefully I'll never have a rust problem like the old one had again!
