air bag sensor

Default air bag sensor

so I think I broke the air bag sensor on my 02 when I lubed the steering shaft. Anyone know anything about this. Sounds like something ratteling around in the steering wheel.Anyone know where to get this part at? Help please. Thanks

there is no airbag sensor around there...just what did ya break?

I dont know. I guess when I had the steering shaft loose to lube it, the wheel must have moved 180 degrees and after it was put back together I turned it to the left and something poped in the wheel. Now my air bag light is on in the dash and there is something rattiling around in the coloumn .

ahh,ok..its the airbag coil...yes,the wheel can not be off..you'll need a new coil..but follow EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS on airbag removal.verrrry dangerous

hey Argon, do you know where I could get the airbag coil and how much it is? Is this something I could do myself or do i need to take it to the dealer?

Well,i have no idea of your tools/knowledge...but no,its not an "easy" repair...some special tools needed to pull the steering wheel and some explicit safety instructions

Default Airbag light stays on

I just replaced the blower motor resister and now the air bag light won't go off. Can any one help thanks.
