Default Air Bags???

I am thinking of installing a set of air bags on the back of my 1500HD just in case I need to haul something with some tongue weight. I definitely want the on board compressor and even thought it would be cool to have the auto leveling kit so I would never have to mess with it. My question is has anyone had experience with air bags? How do they ride when not inflated? Is there any brands to stay away from (I am looking at the Ride Rite kit w/ Firestone Bags)? Where is the best place to buy them? Thanks in advance for the input!

Get the bags, everybody that I have talked to that has them loves them. I don't know about the automatic ride control but if it is anything like what is on the commercial trucks then go with that. Most of the bag set-ups now are going towards performance and lifting, not so much for the weight carrying perposes. So make sure you get what you want.
If you get the on-board compressor then you could also run an air line for airing up tires and such that wont be too hard on the compressor. So that is a big plus!
Sence you have the 1500HD already you should not have to worry too much about the axle or your brakes. They should be good to go.

Sounds like you know what you need to know, and they make them pretty easy to do yourself if you are that type of guy. (If you are on here I hope you are that type of guy, if not, you are waisting my time and you should leave! J/K!)

Good luck!
